Effective September 9, 2026, Richmond International Airport is consolidating all smoking areas on the terminal apron to a single location. All additional smoking areas will have signage and ash cans removed at that time.

Please reference the attached graphic and update your staff on the approved location. The airport Public Safety team will enter a 30-day ‘education enforcement’ window to assist in the transition, followed by a zero-tolerance period for smoking outside of approved areas.
