IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM RIC AIRPORT OPERATIONS!

SUBJECT: Runway 2/20 (21-day closure)

Runway 2/20 (6607’) at Richmond International Airport (KRIC) will close on Monday, September 28, 2026 for approximately 21 days.  The closure is related to Phase 1A of the Taxiway C-E Relocation Project which involves the milling and paving of Taxiway Echo between Runway 2/20 and Taxiway Uniform.  The contractor requires unfettered access to the Runway Safety Area (RSA) for construction activity.  Runway 16/34 (9003’) will remain open and available for air traffic operations through the duration of this closure.

NOTAMs will be issued approximately 7 days prior, on or about September 21, 2026.
