On Friday, August 23rd members of the Airport Operations Team, joined by newly arrived student interns conducted a Foreign Object Debris-FOD walk in the grass areas adjacent Taxiways Alpha and Tango.  These areas often accumulate debris that originates as a result of Terminal and Cargo Ramp activity.  FOD ranging from bottles and cans to plastic bags, to construction refuse was found.  In one instance a FOD-walker found a number of metal bolts that had not been secured on a in-ground light can cover.  After the one-hour walk the team ended up removing 18.5 lbs of FOD from the airfield 😊a big thank you to those who participated as we look forward to making the “Friday FOD Walk” a regular thing.
